Understanding the Social Landscape of Turin Through Football

Brief:
This project aimed to explore the social landscape of Turin through the lens of football, uncovering relevant social issues that resonate with the local community. The objective was to identify areas where meaningful action could be taken to make a positive impact.

Approach:
To gain a comprehensive understanding, I conducted an in-depth analysis involving five local tastemakers and five football enthusiasts, whose insights helped to narrow down the most pressing social topics. Racism and women's youth football emerged as the key areas of focus.

Following this, I carried out an additional round of research to identify grassroots individuals, groups, and organizations actively addressing these issues in Turin. The goal was to develop collaborative proposals that would enable all parties to work together effectively.

Outcome:
The result was a set of actionable proposals designed to foster collaboration between relevant stakeholders, providing a framework for impactful initiatives around combating racism and supporting women's youth football in the city. These proposals aimed to leverage football's influence to drive positive change within Turin's social landscape.
